Tigers Shut Out Men's Tennis

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The Shenandoah University men's tennis team opened its ODAC slate Wednesday evening with a 9-0 loss to Hampden-Sydney.

The Tigers (2-0, 2-0 ODAC) opened by sweeping the three doubles matches with the closest match coming at No. 1, where Matt Hwang and Brett Dubin fell 8-5 to twins Michael and Matthew Moody.

H-SC won five of the six singles matches in straight sets. Dubin won his first set at No. 2 versus Michael Moody, 6-4, before Moody rallied for a 7-6 (7-4) win in the second and then won the pro-set third 10-7.

The men are now off until traveling to Washington and Lee next Wednesday for a 4 p.m. ODAC match.
