Lynchburg Rallies Past Men's Tennis

WINCHESTER, Va. - Visiting Lynchburg College rallied for a 6-3 ODAC men's tennis victory over Shenandoah Saturday afternoon on the Lowry Tennis Courts.

Shenandoah (1-6, 0-4 ODAC) led 2-1 after doubles thanks to wins at Nos. 1 and 2, but could not hold the lead as Lynchburg (3-8, 1-3) rallied.

Sophomore Brett Dubin put SU up 4-2 by opening the singles with a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 2 only to see LC rally by sweeping the remaining six matches.

Lynchburg won 6-1, 6-4 at No. 3 to cut it to 4-3 and then tied it with a 6-4, 6-4 victory at No. 1.

The visitors then clinched the win with straight set victories at Nos. 4 and 6 singles.

At No. 5, Evan Rosenberg lost a three sets, dropping the pro-set third 10-4.

Matt Hwang and Bryan Harris had the win at No. 1 doubles with Dubin and Rosenberg teaming up for an 8-6 victory at No. 2.

Shenandoah is off until hosting Stevenson University Friday in a 3 p.m. non-league match.
