VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - The Shenandoah University men's tennis team opened up its ODAC slate Saturday morning with a 6-3 loss at Virginia Wesleyan.

The Marlins (3-3, 1-1 ODAC) took a 2-1 lead after doubles and then secured the victory with wins in the bottom three singles matches.

Shenandoah (3-1, 0-1) combined his win at No. 3 doubles with victories at Nos. 2 and 3 singles.

Brett Dubin was a double winner, downing Mitchell Perry 6-3, 6-1 at No. 2 singles after combining with Evan Rosenberg to win 8-2 at No. 3 doubles.

Darian Diaz was a 7-6 (3), 7-5 winner at No. 3 singles for the Hornets.

The men continue ODAC play tomorrow with a 1:00 match at Randolph-Macon.
