WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University men's tennis team completed its regular season Sunday afternoon with a 6-3 ODAC loss to Hampden-Sydney.
The Tigers (14-5, 8-2 ODAC) claimed the No. 3 seed at the upcoming ODAC Tournament with the victory over Shenandoah (7-8, 3-7).
The Hornets finished eighth in the league race and will travel to top-seeded Washington and Lee on Wednesday for an ODAC quarterfinal round contest.
Playing indoors at Winchester Country Club, H-SC took a 2-1 lead following doubles thanks to wins Nos. 1 and 3.
Zack Frack and Bryan Harris had the win for the hosts at No. 2, taking out Will Driskill and Levy Young 9-8 (7-2).
The Tigers won 8-2 at No. 1 and 8-3 at No. 3.
In singles, H-SC was victorious at Nos. 1, 3, 4 and 6 to clinch the match.
Brett Dubin and Evan Rosenberg won at No. 2 and No. 5, respectively. Dubin won 7-6 (8-6), 6-2 over William Driskill while Rosenberg 3-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-8).
Shenandoah opens ODAC Tournament play on Wednesday versus top-seeded Washington and Lee.
