Indoor Track & Field Posts Six Wins at CNU

Kaitlin Measell Wins Both 60 Meters and Long Jump

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Shenandoah University indoor track & field teams posted another six wins Saturday at the Captains Invitational hosted by Christopher Newport University.

The men and women each had three victories in the squad's second meet in the past seven days.

IN BRIEF
Sophomore Kaitlin Measell had two of those three women's wins with an 8.33 seconds in the 60-meters and a 5.17 meter long jump.

Jessica Rendfrey notched her second victory in as many meets by taking the weight throw with a toss of 12.98 meters.

The Hornet men swept the throwing events for the second consecutive week with Tucker Kindig winning the weight and Wyatt Schannauer the shot put. Both men won those same events last week.

This week, Schannauer won with a 13.40 meter shot and Kindig at 16.82 meters in the weight.

The final men's win came in the jumps with Hampton Cobb winning the long jump of 6.36 meters.

Both the men's and women's 4 x 400 relay had runner-up performances.
