WINCHESTER, Va. – No. 17 Shenandoah University continued its dominating field hockey season Wednesday night with an 8-0 ODAC victory over Eastern Mennonite University.
The Hornets (11-0, 2-0 ODAC), who entered the NFHCA Top 20 National Poll this week, controlled the game from start to finish versus the Royals (5-4, 0-2).

Shenandoah took 32 of the game's 36 shots, including all 12 of 13 on goal, and only allowed EMU one penalty corner in the opening 54 minutes play. The Royals had a flurry in the 55
th minute in which they had three penalty corners and their only shot on goal.
SU goalkeeper
Taylor Bullis, who came on in relief of
Taylor Swann to start the fourth, made the stop to preserve the shared shutout.
Sophomore
Mairead Mckibbin had the initial goal of the game, scoring unassisted at 6:45, before
Kelsey Jones converted a penalty stroke two minutes later.
Jones, the current ODAC Player of the Week, scored a second straight goal off of a
Madison Short assist at 22:28 before
Cassidy Morrison tallied at 23:13 to give SU a four-goal advantage at the break.
Shenandoah scored three goals in 100 seconds midway through the third to turn the game into a rout.
Farren Winter scored at 36:18 and 37:16 before Mckibbin finished it off at 37:58. Short assisted on Winter's second goal while Winter set up Mckibbin.
The final goal was again Short-to-Jones as Jones completed her hat trick with the goal at 50:17.
Jones led all players with the three goals, Winter had two goals and an assist, Mckibbin two goals and Short three assists.
SU finished with 12 penalty corners.
