WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University women's basketball team snapped its two-game losing streak Wednesday evening with a 75-53 ODAC victory over Eastern Mennonite.
Shenandoah (4-2, 2-1 ODAC) led wire-to-wire versus the Royals (4-3, 0-2).

Melissa Smeltzer-Kraft's club scored the initial 10 points of the game, and after getting a
Terese Greene 3-pointer at the 2:59 mark of the first, never led its lead fall into single digits the rest of the way.
The Hornets led 19-7 after one, and thanks to a 26-point second quarter, took a 45-22 lead into the half. SU shot a sizzling 63 percent (10 of 16) in the second while holding EMU to 28 percent shooting (8 of 28) over the first 20 minutes.
Eastern Mennonite slightly cut into the Hornets lead by scoring 15 of the 27 third quarter points, but Shenandoah added another 18 points in the fourth to coast home to its fourth straight win over the Royals and its sixth in the last seven meetings dating back to Feb. 6, 2018.
Smeltzer-Kraft, who moved to within five wins of 100 for her career as the Hornets head coach, saw nine of the 12 women that saw action in the game score at least two points with Greene's 22 points leading the way.
Madisen Kimble added 13 and
Shawnise Campbell 12 to give SU three women in double figures.
Campbell also had eight rebounds as the Hornets dominated on the boards, 44-24. SU scored 42 points in the paint and had 11 second chance points to 10 and 1, respectively, for EMU.
The Hornets largest lead of the night was 26 points following a
Gabby Krystofiak '3' with 4:27 to play in the third.
