WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The throwers paced the Shenandoah University men's and women's outdoor track & field teams Friday at the Colonial Relays hosted by the College of William & Mary.

Competing with a limited number of athletes at the primarily Division I meet,
Tucker Kindig was sixth in the hammer and
Wyatt Schannauer eighth in the shot put.

IN BRIEF
Kindig had a program-record 52.98 meter toss to finish sixth out of 16 competitors in the hammer. The throw is currently fifth-best in NCAA Division III and he defeated 10 DI athletes in the event.

Schannauer bested eight DI athletes in finishing sixth in the shot put. His best toss of the afternoon was 14.37 meters.

th, respectively, in the 100 meters with
Elias McGhie and
Matthew Klocke 21

st in the 400 meter hurdles.

On the women's side,
Erin Atkinson had the top finish with a 23
rd place showing in the steeplechase.
