BRIDGEWATER, Va. – Host Bridgewater College continued its strong men's tennis season with an 8-1 ODAC victory over Shenandoah University Thursday afternoon.
The Eagles (8-2, 4-1 ODAC) swept the doubles before clinching the win by taking the first two singles results over the Hornets (3-10, 2-6).
IN BRIEF
Gene Perle-Jones, the current ODAC Player of the Week, had the lone win for SU. He was a 6-3, 5-7, 1-0 (11-9) winner over Gabe Elder at No. 2 singles.
Bridgewater took the remaining five singles matches in straight sets.
UP NEXT
The Hornets complete their regular season Saturday with a 1 p.m. ODAC match versus Randolph. This is also a doubleheader with the Shenandoah women.
