LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Shenandoah University track & field squads opened up at the Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic hosted by the University of Lynchburg on Friday night.
After Wrapping up just after 9:30 p.m., Shenandoah rounded out a successful day on the track in the women's 10,000 meter run and in the men's and women's javelin.
Katya Hoover placed second in the women's jav with a personal best performance, a mark of 35.03 meters.
Teammate
Jacob Young finished eighth in the men's event after a throw of 40.20 meters.
In the last event of the short night on the Dr. Jack M. Toms Track, Shenandoah took the first four finishers in the women's 10K.
Graduate student
Emily Miller finished first with a time of 40:25.42 followed by
Madeline Lotts,
Hannah Hale and
Sarah Christy.
The Hornets will continue with the bulk of the meet on Saturday morning.
