ASHLAND, Va. – Host Randolph-Macon edged out the Shenandoah University men's tennis team in a 5-4 ODAC victory Saturday afternoon.
Shenandoah (2-8, 1-4 ODAC) led 2-1 after doubles, but saw the Yellow Jackets win four of six singles matches to steal the victory.

R-MC (3-3, 2-1) won at Nos. 1, 3, 4, and 5 singles to earn the win.
Gene Perle-Jones, who had combined with
Keith Orr to win 8-4 at No. 1 doubles, opened the singles with a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 2.
The Jackets then won at Nos. 3, 1, 4, and 5 to clinch the victory.
Will Sides, playing No. 6, was a 2-6, 6-2, 6-4 victor for the Hornets in the final match of the day.
Aiden Steinly and
Brenton Baugh had the squad's other win with an 8-6 victory at No. 3 doubles.

The men are right back on the court Sunday in a 2 p.m. ODAC home match versus Roanoke.
