FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Shenandoah University outdoor track & field program competed at Mary Washington's Battlefield Relays Saturday afternoon.
Wrapping up the weekend competition, the Hornets took first place in five separate events with
Tucker Kindig resetting the men's hammer school record for the second consecutive day..
Kindig broke his own record for the second time this weekend, besting his 52.41 meter mark set at the The College of William & Mary on Friday morning.
Kindig's toss on Saturday was over a meter better than yesterday's mark, setting the school record at 53.85 meters.
Currently, Kindig's mark is the fifth best in the division as of Saturday evening.
Will Crowder,
Miles Moore,
Andre Jackson and
Elijah Morton teamed up to break the second school record of the day, re-writing the program's best 4 x 100 meter relay time to 41.33 seconds.
As of Saturday, their 4x100 time leads all of NCAA Division III in the event, leading the competition by 0.11 seconds.
Moore would go on to win the 100 meter dash finals with a time of 11.0 seconds.
The women's squad won two events of their own, the 1,600 meter medley relay and the women's hammer.
With Maddie Lotts as the anchor, she and
Erin Atkinson,
Morgan Wuenschel, and
Emma Nicely took first with a time of 4:44.25.
Kiara Felston continues to dominate in the throwing circle by notching another first place finish after recording a toss of 41.06 meters in the women's hammer.

Shenandoah travels north to Collegeville, Pennsylvania on Saturday, Apr. 9 to compete in the Ursinus College Invitational.
