WINCHESTER, Va. – Visiting Hampden-Sydney used a strong first half to fuel a 15-10 ODAC men's lacrosse victory over Shenandoah Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers (10-5, 5-3 ODAC) outscored SU 8-2 in the opening 30 minutes to take a lead they would not relinquish.

Shenandoah (9-7, 4-5) outscored H-SC 5-2 in the third, but could not make any additional headway. The Tigers scored five of the eight fourth quarter goals, including three of the final four.
The Hornets came as close as a two-goal deficit in the third quarter following
Chris Baker tallies at 3:58 and 2:43. Now with just a 9-7 lead, H-SC answered sandwiched a pair of goals around the third quarter buzzer and then went on a 4-1 run from the 10:00 to 2:18 marks of the fourth.
Brock DiMauro's goal, off of a Baker assist, closed out the game's scoring 11 seconds before the final horn.
Baker led the hosts with two goals and three assists for five points with DiMauro,
Zachary Heiderman,
Tyler Held and
Logan Clingerman all contributing two points apiece.
Mark Isabelle had 12 saves.
H-SC outshot SU, 48-4 and had a 36-30 edge on groundballs. Shenandoah won 17 of the game's 31 faceoffs.
