LEXINGTON, Va. - The Shenandoah University men's lacrosse team's 2026 season came to an end on Monday night with a 27-8 loss to nationally-ranked Washington and Lee University in the quarterfinals of the ODAC Tournament.

The Hornets (5-13) had tied the game at one, but the Generals (13-5) responded with a 14-0 run to take control of the tournament game. The Hornets finished their season with their fifth straight appearance in the conference tournament.

RECAP

Washington and Lee won the opening faceoff and scored 40 seconds into the game. Brody McClure won the ensuing faceoff and raced down the field to find Liam Arnsmeyer for the game-tying goal seven seconds later.

Across the next 27 minutes of the game the Generals would jump out to a 15-1 lead behind a 14-0 run. An assist by Cody Girffis gave Arnsmeyer his second goal of the night to end the run by the Generals.

Washington and Lee scored the next six goals of the game before Griffis and Noah Nolt gave Shenandoah back-to-back goals late in the third. The Generals led 21-4 at the end of three.

With the home team now up 25-4, Kennedy Duda and Xavier Parker gave the Hornets two more goals as Jordan Rogers picked up an assist on Parker's goal. The two teams traded goals for the final seven minutes of play with Nolt adding his second and Lucas Brooks scoring just before time expired.
