COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Shenandoah University outdoor track & field teams had three wins Saturday at the Ursinus College Invitational.

Competing in their penultimate meets before the ODAC Championships in three weeks, the men had two wins and the women one Saturday afternoon.

IN BRIEF
Miles Moore and Hampton Cobb had those two victories for the men with Moore winning in the 100 and Cobb in the long jump.

On the women's side, Jessica Rendfrey bested a 29-woman field to win the hammer throw with a toss of 40.84 meters.

Rendfrey's throw is a new personal best and she was also third in the shot put at 11.18 meters.

Moore beat 36 other competitors in the 100 with a 10.82 in the preliminary heat and a 10.73 in the finals. William Crowder was second in the event with a 10.78.

Cobb had a 6.42 meter long jump to win that 18-man competition.

Kyle Holliday was second in the 110 meter high hurdles and Matthew Klocke had a runner up performance in the 400 meter hurdles.

Holliday's 15.89 seconds tied his own school record.

Wyatt Schannauer was third in the shot put, 14.52 meters, and sixth in the hammer, 41.15. Matthew Smith finished just in front of Schannauer in that latter event with a 42.54 meter throw.

Alexis Hubbard and Brooke Sandy went 4-5 in the 400 meter hurdles.

The final top five for the women came from Katya Hoover in the javelin. She had a 33.33 throw for that finish.

QUOTABLE
"Despite another week of unruly weather, the team continues to press forward and prepare for ODAC and NCAAs," head coach Andy Marrocco said. "A lot of increased rankings on the ODAC, regional, and national level. Looking forward to our final push at Lynchburg next weekend."
