SALEM, Va. – In a game that finished nearly 19 hours after its originally scheduled start, third-seeded Roanoke College advanced to the 2022 ODAC Tournament semi-finals with a 20-8 quarterfinal round victory over No. 7 Shenandoah Wednesday afternoon.
Opening faceoff was originally set for 7 p.m. ET Tuesday but the game did not start until just after 9 p.m. due to SU travel issues in getting to Salem.
Less than 10 minutes into the contest, lightning came through the area with the game then paused until noon Wednesday.

Roanoke (13-5), which led 3-1 when the game was halted at the 6:30 mark of the first, scored a pair of goals within one minute of the resumption of play Thursday.
Shenandoah (10-9) scored the game's initial goal on a

Tyler Held tally 77 seconds into the contest, was held off the board until
Stephen Graham scored unassisted at 11:09 of the second.
Graham's goal halted a 7-0 run from the Maroons. RC closed out the first half on 4-2 run with
Logan Clingerman and Daniel scoring for the Hornets.
In the second half, Roanoke extended its lead by one goal in the third period before outscoring Shenandoah, 5-2, in the fourth.
RC outshot the Hornets, 73-38, had a 46-39 advantage on groundballs and won 21-of-32 faceoffs.
Daniel paced SU with three goals and two assists for five points with Held adding two goals and both Graham and
Chris Baker a goal and an assist.
Logan Clingerman had the squad's remaining goal.
Mark Isabelle made 23 saves in 52:42 of action.
