LEXINGTON, Va. – Third-seeded Shenandoah University saw its women's lacrosse season come to an end Saturday afternoon with a 13-7 loss to Roanoke College in the ODAC Tournament semi-finals.
Roanoke (14-3) led virtually wire-to-wire versus the Hornets (11-7).

The Maroons scored the game's initial goal 42 seconds in and led 5-0 before Shenandoah scored its first goal on a
Reilly Cisar free position with 3:48 to play in the first.
Both teams scored one goal in the second quarter with Cisar tallying unassisted for the Hornets at 9:10.
A four-goal Roanoke run, highlighted by a Lilly Blair natural hat trick, started the second half.
Emma Stiffler ended that spurt with an unassisted goal with 2:57 to play in the stanza.
The Hornets outscored RC, 4-2, in the fourth with Cisar, Stiffler,
Ainsley Buckner, and
Kathleen Donovan tallying for SU.
Cisar led Shenandoah with three goals while Stiffler had two goals and an assist and Buckner a goal and an assist.
Roanoke outshot the Hornets, 34-22, had a 26-19 advantage on groundballs and won 13 of 23 draws.
Ashley MacFarlane made five saves before leaving with an injury.
Erin Spaulding finished up and made four stops.
Blair had six goals and an assist for the Maroons.
UP NEXT
This ends the Hornets season. SU will announce its 2023 schedule in late summer.
