OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Three second half goals Wednesday evening propelled the Shenandoah University women's soccer team to a 4-2 non-league victory at Stevenson.
Shenandoah (6-0-2) extends its best-ever start of the Liz Pike era with seventh victory over the Mustangs (0-6-1).

Trailing 2-1 at the break after Stevenson scored goals in the 30
th and 34
th minutes, the Hornets broke through in the final 27 minutes of play.
Elizabeth McGee brought the game back to level by converting a penalty kick at 63:05. McGee's goal was her fourth of the season and first on a PK.
At 77:34, Shenandoah took the lead for good on a
Sarah Crusse tally. Crusse corralled her own rebound and buried her shot into a wide open net from right on the doorstep.
The Hornets used a corner kick with 87 seconds remaining to score the final goal of the game. A failed Stevenson clearing attempt deflected to
Peyton Starks, who booted her three-yard shot right under the crossbar for the game's final tally.
Shenandoah's initial goal of the game was an own goal.

Shenandoah opens ODAC play Saturday at home with a 2 p.m. contest versus Washington & Lee. This game is also the lid-lifter in a doubleheader with the SU men. That SU/W&L contest is set for a 4:30 start.
