FERRUM, Va. – The Shenandoah University volleyball team completed its weekend action Saturday by sweeping a tri-match at Ferrum.
Shenandoah (6-6, 2-1 ODAC) won by a 3-1 score in both matches – defeating the host Panthers in the opening match before taking out Johnson & Wales in the middle match of the day.

The Hornets earned their second ODAC victory of the season with a 25-13, 25-19, 21-25, 25-20 victory over Ferrum (4-10, 0-3).
Shenandoah hit .188 (45-20—133) to .007 for the Panthers (34-33—138).
Junior
Jillian Warter led the victors with 17 kills with
Kate Poppo adding eight and
Aaliyah Chunn seven.
On the defensive side,
Natalie Reader had 23 digs and Poppo 11.
Brooke Wagner and
Rebecca Nguyen fueled the offense with 21 and 14 assists, respectively.
JOHNSON & WALES RECAP
Shenandoah rebounded from a 25-17 J&W in the opening set to win at 21, 18, and 14 in sets two through four to clinch the victory.
Coach
Kent Clayberg's club had a solid match offensively, hitting .246 (52-22-122) including .500 (13-3—20) in the fourth.
Warter had a match-high 19 kills and
Regan Minney added 11.
Wagner and Nguyen combined for 43 assists with Wagner recording 25.
Emma Thompson had 15 digs, Reader 12, and Minney 10.
