BUENA VISTA, Va. – Host Southern Virginia swept Shenandoah University, 9-0, in non-league men's tennis action Tuesday afternoon.
Southern Virginia (3-0) won both contested matches in doubles before taking four of the five singles matches in straight sets.

Shenandoah (0-2) defaulted at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles to give the Knights a 2-0 lead at the start of the match.
SVU then won 8-3 and 8-1, respectively, at Nos. 1 and 2 doubles to put itself one point from the win.
The hosts got that victory with a win at love at No. 5.
Dominick Suwak had the closest match for SU. He dropped a 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-8) decision to Daniel Blonquist at No. 2 singles.
