HARRISONBURG, Va. – The Shenandoah University women's basketball team swept its regular season series against Eastern Mennonite with a 72-55 conference win at EMU Wednesday night.

Leading by one at the half, the Hornets (16-8, 11-6 ODAC) held the Royals (9-15, 4-13)Â to a combined 20% (6 for 30) shooting in the final two quarters.

Shenandoah made its first five shots and 10 of its first 12 in a 27-point first quarter.

Gabby Krystofiak started the party with a pair of threes in the first two minutes.Â

The rest of the quarter was the
Terese Greene show as she dropped seven points giving SU a 27-15 lead.

The second quarter saw EMU at its best shooting 50% (8 for 16) in the frame and going on a 12-2 run in the final six minutes.
Shawnise Campbell helped the Hornets maintain a lead at the half with her nine first-half points.

EMU gained the only lead it would hold, 36-35, after two made free throws to open the half. SU regained the lead right away with an 11-2 run over a six-minute span. The two EMU points during the run would prove to be their only made shot of the quarter.

Madisen Kimble led the Hornets in fourth-quarter points with eight and helped her squad secure the 72-55 final.Â

Greene led Shenandoah with 18 points. Kimble and Campbell each had 17 for the victors.

Kimble would also lead the Hornets with ten rebounds, earning herself a double-double.

Greene extends her streak of double-digit scoring to 20 games.
