VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Shenandoah University women's basketball team won its ODAC road game, 79-67, over Virginia Wesleyan Wednesday evening at the Batten Center.
Sophomore
Shawnise Campbell dropped a 20-point, 12-rebound double-double for the Hornets (14-8, 9-6 ODAC) in the victory over the Marlins (6-16, 2-13).

Shenandoah jumped out of the gates quickly making three 3-pointers in the first three minutes of the game.
Gabby Krystofiak made two of the three.
Despite SU holding the early 11-4 lead, the Marlins kept the first half close forcing two ties and two lead changes.
A Logan Carter jumper gave the home team its first lead at 29-28 before the visiting Hornets responded with a lay-up of their own from
Ashleigh Zepp to regain the lead.
Holding the one-point lead at half, Shenandoah rattled off 11 straight points in the third quarter to take a 12-point advantage less than four minutes in. Campbell helped the Hornets get to this quick start with two lay-ups, beginning her 20-point half.
The Marlins once again tried to swim back by cutting the deficit to five at the end of the third. SU got in their way and took its biggest lead of the game at 16 by utilizing starter
Terese Greene and role-player
Kayla Maxson.
Greene and Campbell each lead SU with 20 points.
Emily Williams, Greene, and Krystofiak all had three assists for the victors.
