HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Shenandoah University earned its first men's tennis victory of the season Monday with a 7-2 non-league victory over Cornell (Iowa) College.
Shenandoah (1-3) opened with a pair of doubles victories before clinching versus the Rams (5-8) with victories in the first three singles matches to come off the court.

Keith Orr, at No. 4 singles, had the match clinching victory by winning at love over Chris Penas-Hall. Orr and
Dominick Suwak earned the Hornets first victory of the afternoon with an 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles.
Artem Babaiev and
Jovan Cirkovic gave Coach
Jason Cole's club the 2-1 advantage by winning, 8-3, at No. 1 doubles.
Babaiev made quick work of Federico Polidori at No. 2 singles, winning 6-3, 6-1 before Suwak was a 6-2, 6-1 victor over Zachary Ong at No. 3. This put SU one win from victory.
It took Orr just 36 minutes to finish off Penas-Hall and clinch the win.
Cirkovic gutted out a 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 victory at No. 1 for the victors' sixth point of the afternoon.
Jonathan Clippinger put the final win on the board with a 7-5 (7-5), 6-3 win at No. 6.
Brenton Baugh's match at No. 5 was the longest of the day, checking in at 2:13, with Edwin Holyoake winning 4-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-8).
