WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University men's and women's indoor track & field teams had a number of strong performances Saturday in hosting its annual South Region Final Qualifier on the Kaye and JJ Smith track at the James R. Wilkins, Jr. Athletics & Events Center.

The Hornets set three new facilities records as they racked up eight wins in their final opportunity to compete before the NCAA championships berths are announced Sunday.

The three facilities records came in the men's and women's weight throw and the women's long jump.
Kiara Felston had a 16.67 weight toss to set the new Wilkins Center mark for the women with
Tucker Kindig a 19.25 in the men's event for his record-setting throw.

Felston is now 18
th in the nation for the women and Kindig fifth for the men.

The top 20 qualify for the NCAA championships.

Kaitlin Measell had the final facility record thanks to a 5.41 meter long jump. She bested a seven-woman field.

Miles Moore, who was looking to improve his time in the 200 meters, did so with a 22.00 in that event. He was the runner-up to Gallaudet's Eric Gregory and Moore is now 19
th in the nation.

In addition to Felston, Kindig's, and Measell's victories, Shenandoah posted wins in the women's mile, women's high jump, men's 800, men's mile, and men's 4 x 400 relay.

Erin Atkinson won the women's mile in a program-record 5:17.18.
