DANVILLE, Va. – The Shenandoah University men's tennis team saw its 10-match winning streak come to an end Saturday in an 8-1 ODAC loss to Averett University.
The Cougars (10-4, 6-1 ODAC) swept the doubles versus the Hornets (10-4, 5-2) before winning five of the six singles matches.

Dominick Suwak was the lone winner for SU. He won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 singles over Rufus Nurminen.
Three of the remaining five singles matches went in straight sets.
Jovan Cirkovic and
Artem Babaiev, at Nos. 1 and 2, respectively, each forced a third set with Cirkovic falling 10-6 and Babaiev 10-8 in the 10-game pro-set tiebreak.
