MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – The Shenandoah University men's and women's outdoor track & field teams recorded two wins and set a school record Sunday at the Mount Olive Final Qualifier.
Tucker Kindig and
Katya Hoover top their respective fields in the men's hammer and women's high jump, while
Miles Moore set a new school record with a 21.23 seconds in the men's 200 meters.
MEN'S RECAP
Moore's new school mark was good for a sixth place finish and places him 15
th in the nation in the 200 meters.
Kindig had a 58.47 meter toss on his fifth attempt to win the hammer throw competition.
William Crowder finished eighth in the 100,
Matthew Klocke was fifth in the 400-meter hurdles and the 4 x 100 meter relay team of Moore, Crowder,
Wyatt Newcome, and
Andre Jackson was third.
WOMEN'S RECAP
Hoover was successful at her first attempt at 1.51 meters to win the high jump and she was third in the javelin throw.
Kiara Felston was fifth in hammer.
Erin Atkinson rounded out the women's competitors with a ninth-place finish in the 1500.

Miles Moore and
Kaitlin Measell compete tomorrow at the Widener Final Qualifier. Moore is set to run in the 100 and 200 meter dash and Measell in the long jump.
