MINNEAPOLIS – The Shenandoah University baseball program earned two All-American honors as announced by D3baseball.com Wednesday morning.

Senior Gavin Horning was named second team All-America with junior Colby Martin selected to the fifth team.

Horning, a Lancaster, Pennsylvania native, batted .409 on the year with seven home runs and drove in 60 RBI. His batting average and RBIs are currently third and first in the ODAC, respectively.

Martin, a business administration major, hit .390 while hitting for 50 RBI and drawing 41 walks at the plate. On the bases, Martin had an ODAC-high 34 steals on 37 attempts.

The two Hornets were each named All-Region by D3Baseball.com and the American Baseball Coaches Association, with Horning grabbing the Region 6 Player of the Year by the latter association.

The All-Americans also snatched All-ODAC honors earlier this season with Horning making first team and Martin earning second team.

Horning and Martin are the 15th and 16th All-American selections for the program and the first playing accolades since Martin was selected to both the D3baseball.com and ABCA teams in 2021. Pearce Bucher was an Academic All-America honoree last spring.

The duo helped Shenandoah to a Super Regionals appearance this season and a program-record 42 wins.
