HOW IT HAPPENED
The Hornets began strong with Gabby Krystofiak setting the tone early, stealing the ball and scoring the game's first basket. After a tied score at 2-2, Shenandoah went on an 18-2 run, fueled by Greene and Campbell's dominant play in the paint and Maddie Kimble's three-pointer, ending the quarter with a 22-13 lead.
Shenandoah extended their lead, opening with a 9-0 run. Greene, Krystofiak, and Sydney Shepos capitalized on assists from Kimble, pushing the margin to 51-18 by halftime. The Hornets' defense stifled Wilson, forcing turnovers and converting them into points.
The Hornets began the second half with a 7-0 run and continued to build momentum with contributions from Emily Williams and Nesselrodt, who drilled three 3-pointers in the quarter. Shenandoah led 78-27 heading into the final frame.
Shenandoah's depth shone, as every player who stepped on the court contributed offensively. Danni Marmo hit back-to-back threes, and Lily Berger's deep shot brought the Hornets within one point of their previous scoring record. Addisyn Banks tied it before Nesselrodt's three-pointer pushed the Hornets into the triple digits, securing the highest-scoring game in program history.
