Maddie Kimble was the second-leading scorer for the Hornets with 14 points on 2-8 shooting from the floor, with both of her field goals coming from behind the arc, and was a perfect 8-8 from the line with seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Maddie Kimble tied the game for the Hornets converting two free throws two minutes into the game. Just over a minute later, Kimble drilled her first three and the Hornets took a 5-2 lead.
Shawnise Campbell scored her only field goal of the game with five minutes to go in the first quarter. The Eagles regained the lead at 8-7 with 2:30 on the clock, but
Kayla Maxson's jumper and
Sydney Shepos' layup gave Shenandoah a one-point, 11-10 lead heading into the second quarter.
Terese Greene's and one in the second quarter put the Hornets back on top 14-13 with 7:21 left in the half. Over the next three minutes, Bridgewater went on a 6-0 run, but back-to-back threes from Greene and Krystofiak made it a 23-20 game. Greene hit two more free throws, and Shenandoah found themselves down 28-22 heading into the break.
An opening layup by
Gabby Krystofiak followed by four straight free throws from
Maddie Kimble pulled the Hornets back to within one point.
Terese Greene eventually tied the game with 4:26 left in the third, but Bridgewater went on another 9-0 run before Kimble hit two more free throws to end the third.
Zoe Smith split a pair of free throws to start the fourth quarter but Bridgewater kept building their lead back to eight points at 43-35. The Eagles pushed it back to a 10-point lead with just over 7 minutes to play, but a 6-0 lead for the Hornets behind baskets from Kyrstofiak, Greene, and
Emily Williams made it a 4-point game with just over half of a quarter left to play. Two layups sandwiched around a Kimble triple made it a one-point game at 49-48. However, it was too little too late, as Bridgewater hit five straight free throws and the Hornets were not able to score again.
