Women's Golf Earns Third Place at JCU Invitational

Willoughby Hills, Ohio - The Shenandoah University women's golf team placed third in the John Carroll University Fall Invitational with a two-day score of 685 (+109), scoring a 338 (+50) on Sunday. Wittenberg won the team title with a 661 (+85).

Manon Branfaux led the Hornets, placing 10th, matching her round one score with an 84 (+12) on Sunday. Erica Laurentino improved by three strokes for an 83 (+11), finishing the tournament tied for 11th.

Gaby Frick wrapped up in 14th, carding an 86 (+14) on Sunday and a two-day score of 169 (+27). Sophia Hansen improved by eight strokes in round two with an 85 (+13), while Alexa Strohman scored four shots better from round one, with an 87 (+15). Hansen and Strohman finished the invitational tied for 23rd at 178 (+34).

Cierra Bigelow made half the team's birdies on Sunday, with back-to-back birdies on holes six and seven for an 88 (+16).  Individuals Amanda Dasher (197, +53) and Carley Westmoreland (200, +56) concluded in 45th and 48th place, respectively.
