Women's Golf in Seventh After First Round of ODAC Championship

The Shenandoah University women's golf team is in seventh place after the first round of the 2026 ODAC Tournament as Washington and Lee University leads all teams after the first 18 holes.

The Hornets scored a 365 (+77) at the par-72, 5,724-yard Williamsburg National Golf Course on Sunday.

Sophia Hansen is leading the way for Shenandoah at the championship, sitting in 27th with an 89 (+17). Hansen ended the front nine with consecutive pars before registering three straight in the middle of the back nine.

Gaby Frick has a 91 (+19) following the first round as she is in 31st. Frick had three pars on the front half of the course and added three more following the turn. She turned in a 45 on the back nine, improving her score by one compared to the front.

Cierra Bigelow is one stroke behind Frick with a 92 (+20) for 32nd. The first-year struggled on the front nine but bounced back with a 43 on the back nine, which was a six-stroke improvement. She had pars on six of the 10 final holes.

Alexa Strohman finished the first round in 33rd with a 93 (+21). She recorded the first par of the championship for the Hornets, paring the first hole. She then added four more throughout the day.

Amanda Dasher is in 37th with a first-round score of 99 (+27). The junior landed pars on two and four before going back-to-back on hotels 14 and 15.
