Hylton and Spence Named All-ODAC

FOREST, Va. - The Shenandoah University women's volleyball team earned its first All-ODAC selections for the first time since the 2023 season, with Hannah Hylton and Ashlynn Spence earning the honors this season, as announced by the conference on Saturday.

Hylton was named to the second team as an outside hitter, while Spence was named to the third team as an opposite hitter/middle blocker.

Hylton led the Hornets with 303 kills, averaging 3.29 per set in 24 matches and 92 sets. In ODAC play, the outside hitter had 135 kills in 42 sets, which is 3.21 per set. The junior had 908 total attacks and 30 assists on the season.

Spence was second on the team with 220 kills, but led the team in blocks with 66.0, with 49 block assists and 17 solo blocks. The middle blocker added 18 service aces throughout the season. In conference matches, Spence had 107 kills and 30.0 blocks.

The duo helped the Hornets to 13 wins and a seven-win conference record, clinching the five seed in the conference tournament and their first postseason birth since 2021.
