FOREST, Va. - Emily Williams was named ODAC Offensive Player of the Week for women's basketball following a 2-0 opening week for Shenandoah, as announced by the conference on Monday.

Williams, a guard, recorded two double-doubles this week, averaging 17.5 points and 10 rebounds per game.

In the opening game of the season, a 62-59 upset victory over No. 19 Catholic, Williams dropped 21 points and added 10 rebounds. The guard helped the Hornets overcome a 20-point deficit in the third quarter with her 75 percent shooting and by scoring the final four points of the game for SU.

On Saturday, in a 75-57 win at Wilson, Williams scored 14 points and collected another 10 boards. The senior once again shot over 50 percent in the win and dished out five assists.

Throughout the week, Williams had nine offensive rebounds while also forcing four turnovers at the other end of the court.

The Hornets and Williams are in action this weekend at the Randolph-Macon Tournament, playing Gettysburg and Mary Washington.
