MINNEAPOLIS - Seniors Matt Conroy and Andy Anderson were named D3football.com All-Region for Region Three on Wednesday afternoon in selections announced by the publication.

Conroy, a linebacker, earned second-team honors for the second time in his career, while Anderson, a guard, earned his first all-region nod with a third-team distinction.

Conroy leads NCAA Division III in total tackles with 147 this season and set the Hornets' program record for career tackles with 442 in 42 games played at SU. This year the linebacker had two interceptions, three pass break-ups, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and two sacks. Conroy earned All-ODAC First Team honors and was named the conference's Defensive Player of the Week following the regular season finale.

Anderson blocked for a Hornets offense that rushed for 1,661 yards and 16 touchdowns. The guard also gave SU's quarterbacks enough time to pass for 2,432 yards and 23 touchdowns. Anderson allowed just 1.5 sacks this year in his nine regular-season starts and was named All-ODAC First Team to conclude his career.

Since 2021, the Hornets have had 14 D3football.com All-Region awards, with Conroy joining David Munoz, Keyshawn Wilder, and Mason Caldwell as the only Hornets to get multiple All-Region nods during that span.
