2026 Hall of Fame Spotlight: Hayden Bauserman

WINCHESTER, Va. - The Shenandoah University Department of Intercolligiate Athletics is inducting five individuals into its Hall of Fame Class of 2026, with the week's spotlight focusing on Hayden Bauserman '18, the Hornets' quarterback from 2015-18.

Bauserman holds Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) and SU records for career passing touchdowns (132) and single-season passing touchdowns (43, 2018), passing yards (3,832, 2018), passing completions (355, 2018), and passing attempts (553, 2018). 

Additionally, the quarterback has program records for career passing attempts (1,768), completions (1,093), and passing yards (12,475). 

In 2018, the Woodstock, Virginia native won the Lanier Award, which is given to the best DII/DIII/NAIA player in the commonwealth of Virginia, and was named a finalist for the Gagliardi Award. That same season, he was named ODAC J. Stokeley Fulton Offensive Player of the Year and Virginia Sports Information Directors Association Player of the Year.

Throughout his career, he earned First Team All-ODAC three times, two All-Region nods, and was named ODAC Player of the Week five times.

Bauserman currently serves as an assistant coach for SU football, joining the coaching staff in 2019 and moving to a full-time position prior to the 2021 season.

Bauserman and the rest of the inductees will be enshrined in the hall of fame on January 25, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. in the Ferrari Room at the Brandt Student Center.
