WINCHESTER, Va. – The Shenandoah University women's basketball team snapped a three-game losing streak in dominant fashion, securing an 84-51 victory over Eastern Mennonite University on Saturday in front of an energetic home crowd.
The Hornets (16-9, 11-5) were led by Terese Greene, who posted a game-high 18 points on 6-of-12 shooting, including 1-of-2 from three-point range and 5-of-6 from the free-throw line. The senior also added three rebounds, two assists, and a steal. Maddie Kimble followed closely with 16 points, shooting 5-of-11 from the field, 3-of-7 from beyond the arc, and 3-of-5 from the line. Kimble also contributed five assists, three rebounds, and two steals.
Addisyn Banks joined them in double figures with 10 points, shooting 4-of-9 from the floor, including 1-of-3 from deep and 1-of-2 from the charity stripe. Shawnise Campbell nearly recorded a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds, while Emily Williams narrowly missed one of her own with seven points and eight boards.
As a team, Shenandoah shot 32-of-63 (50.8%) from the floor, 6-of-17 (35.3%) from three-point range, and 14-of-21 (66.7%) from the free-throw line. Defensively, the Hornets stifled EMU, holding the Royals to just 17-of-55 (30.9%) from the field, 5-of-18 (27.8%) from three, and 12-of-18 (66.7%) from the line.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Shawnise Campbell opened the scoring for Shenandoah with a layup on the team's first offensive possession, assisted by Greene. Greene then knocked down two free throws to regain the lead before Kimble drilled her first three-pointer, giving the Hornets an 8-2 advantage just over two minutes into the game.
After EMU responded with a three, Greene converted an and-one, followed by two Kimble free throws to extend the lead to 13-5. Greene added another layup before Kimble hit her second three of the quarter. Sydney Shepos and Kimble each made one free throw, giving Shenandoah a 20-15 lead heading into the second quarter.
Addisyn Banks ignited the Hornets' offense in the second, draining a three-pointer before converting a layup for a personal 5-0 run. EMU answered with five straight points before Jessica Littlejohn knocked down two free throws, pushing the lead back to seven.
Emily Williams, Skai Bayless, Banks, and Campbell continued Shenandoah's surge, stretching the lead to 35-20. EMU halted the run with a three, but Williams and Gabby Krystofiak closed out the quarter with baskets. Despite a late 7-4 run by the Royals, the Hornets entered halftime with a 39-30 lead.
Shenandoah put the game out of reach in the third quarter, exploding for 27 points while holding EMU to just 10. Williams opened the half with a free throw and a layup off a Campbell assist. The Hornets then received baskets from Krystofiak and five straight points from Kimble. Greene added another layup before Mya Martin recorded her first points of the game.
Defensively, Shenandoah clamped down, holding EMU scoreless for the final four minutes of the third quarter. Greene, Kimble, and Krystofiak extended the lead to 66-40 entering the final period.
The fourth quarter was a formality as the Hornets continued to build on their lead. Shenandoah received contributions from Sydney Shepos, Brynna Nesslerodt, and Reagan Smith, sealing a dominant second-half performance and a convincing 84-51 win in the regular-season finale.

The Hornets will host Roanoke in the quarterfinals of the ODAC Tournament on Tuesday evening, with the winner advancing to the semifinals at the Salem Civic Center on Friday. Shenandoah previously defeated Roanoke 77-47 at home in January.
