Suwak Named ODAC Player of the Week

FOREST, Va. - Junior Dominick Suwak has been named the ODAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week, as announced by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference on Monday afternoon.

Suwak went a perfect 2-0 in singles play last week and added a doubles victory in conference action. The Arlington, Virginia, native closed the regular season with a 19-4 overall singles record, including a flawless 8-0 mark in ODAC matches.

In last Monday's match against Bridgewater, Suwak dominated at No. 1 singles with a 6-0, 6-0 win and teamed with Keith Orr for a 6-1 victory at No. 1 doubles. He capped the week on Friday with a 3-6, 6-1, 6-1 singles win against Harford Community College.

In the latest NCAA regional rankings, Suwak is ranked eighth in Region IV for singles and 48th nationally.

Shenandoah hosts Virginia Wesleyan in the ODAC Quarterfinals on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Lowry Tennis Courts. The Hornets enter postseason play as the No. 4 seed.
