Women's Golf Ties for Third at Bridgewater Invitational

HARRISONBURG, Va. – The Shenandoah University women's golf team tied for third at the Bridgewater Invitational at the Lakeview Golf Club with a two-round score of 665 (+89), matching Averett University and host Bridgewater.

The Hornets improved by 13 strokes from round one, carding a 326 (+38) in Tuesday's final round at Lakeview Golf Club.

First-year Erica Laurentino led SU with a 76 (+4) in the second round, highlighted by birdies on holes one and nine. She placed 15th overall with a two-day total of 162 (+18).

Manon Branfaux tied for 13th after shooting a 77 (+5) on Tuesday. Branfaux played steady golf on the front nine, recording eight consecutive pars, and finished with a 160 (+16).

Cierra Bigelow earned 18th with a 165 (+21). She improved by one stroke from round one, carding an 82 (+10) that included birdies on holes four and seven.

Gaby Frick rounded out the team scoring with a 92 (+20) in round two.

Sophia Hansen added a 91 (+19), highlighted by a birdie on hole five, and finished 40th overall.

Competing as individuals, Amanda Dasher, Alexa Strohman, and Carley Westmoreland each posted a 94 (+22). Dasher also recorded a birdie on hole 18 during her round.

Shenandoah returns to action October 4–5 at the John Carroll Fall Invitational in Willoughby Hills, Ohio.
