FOREST, Va. - Shenandoah University women's basketball player Addisyn Banks has earned her second ODAC Defensive Player of the Week nod of the season, following a 2-0 week for the Hornets, as announced by the league on Monday.

Banks set a career-high for rebounds in a game with 14 defensive boards in the team's 67-42 win over Randolph-Macon last Wednesday. The 14 rebounds helped the junior achieve a 20-point double-double. In that same game, Banks came away with two steals.

On Saturday, in a 72-51 win versus Lynchburg, Banks improved her weekly steal total to six with four takeaways in the final two quarters. The forward/guard also grabbed six more rebounds on the defensive end of the court and scored 26 points.

At the offensive side of the court, Banks shot 17-for-33 from the floor, made five three-pointers, and dished out 11 assists between the two ODAC games.

Banks currently leads the Hornets per game in points 17.9), assists (3.6), steals (2.3), and blocks (0.6).

The Hornets, currently ranked 22nd in the D3hoops.com poll, play this Wednesday on the road at Eastern Mennonite University and then return home on Saturday for a 2 p.m. meeting with Randolph.
