Men's Tennis Falls to No. 24 CNU

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Shenandoah University men's tennis team was defeated by No. 24 Christopher Newport University on Friday 6-1 in a non-conference match.

The Captains (4-0) won all three doubles matches to pick up the first team point of the afternoon, and won in straight sets in four singles matches.

Dominick Suwak won at No. 1 singles for the Hornets (0-2). The No. 46 player in the country won 6-3, 6-3 to help SU.

Siddharrth Rajagopalan dropped his first set but evened his match with a 7-6 victory in the second, winning the tiebreaker 7-1. However, CNU took the team point from the match with a 1-0 (10-4) win in the third.

Shenandoah competes against No. 25 Haverford tomorrow afternoon at CNU.
