FOREST, Va. - The Shenandoah University softball team was picked sixth in the 2026 ODAC Preseason Poll, entering its first season under new head coach Olivia Scarbrough.

Shenandoah finished eighth in last season's ODAC standings with a .500 record in conference play. Overall, SU had 18 wins, its most since the 2019 season.

Virginia Wesleyan University marks the top of the preseason poll with 10 first-place votes, and Bridgewater College is second with one. Randolph-Macon College and the University of Lynchburg are in third and fourth, respectively.

Roanoke College sits ahead of SU, while Averett University is just behind the Hornets in seventh. Guilford College, Randolph College, Sweet Briar College, and Eastern Mennonite University close out the rankings in the final four spots.

Shenandoah has a 23-player roster this season with 12 first-years. The season starts in two weeks at home versus Misericordia University. The first ODAC game of the season is set for March 18 at home versus the Yellow Jackets.
