Westwood Earns Softball's First All-Region Award Since 2016

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Brenna Westwood was named to the third team for NFCA Division III All-Region, marking Shenandoah University softball's first all-region nod since Kimberly Brady in 2016.

The infielder helped the Hornets to a 30-win season, the program's first since 2011. Westwood also garnered First Team All-ODAC recognition earlier this month.

The junior hit .405 at the plate in 41 games, with 49 hits, all of which were singles. She also had 22 RBI, 13 walks, a .405 slugging percentage, and an on-base percentage of .468. On the bases, she scored 21 runs and added five stolen bases.

In the field, Westwood had 80 assists and 75 putouts, both ranking inside the top three for the Hornets. She accumulated a .969 fielding percentage in 160 chances.

Westwood picked up a hit in 32 games this year and had 13 multi-hit games.
