Four Hornets Earn All-ODAC at Indoor Championships

SALEM, Va. - The Shenandoah University indoor track and field teams earned four All-ODAC accolades on Sunday during day two of the 2026 ODAC Indoor Track and Field Championships. The SU women placed fifth with 45 points, and the men wrapped up in eighth with 18 points.

Roman Bernard set a school record and earned second team All-ODAC in the men's 400m with a time of 49.92, surpassing the record that he set earlier this year in the same venue.

Molly Donaldson also earned second team all-conference honors in the women's shot put, hitting a 12.49m mark on the first of her six attempts.

The final All-ODAC performers were Grace Semow and Amy Oleksy in the women's 800m. Semow ran a 2:27.78 for second place, setting a new personal record. Semow's time was 0.79 seconds away from breaking the school record. Oleksy came in at 2:23.07 for third team All-ODAC, also setting a PR.

Kaitlyn Loy broke the school record in the women's pole vault for the third time this season on Sunday. Loy reached 1.83m on her third attempt at the height, which sets the new school record by 0.11m.

Elaina Ramos earned the Hornets team points in the women's triple jump, placing fifth with a new PR of 10.57m, which is now the third-best mark all-time for Shenandoah. First-year Zachary Sheehan placed eighth in the men's triple jump with a PR of his own at 13.28m, just passing his previous best of 13.27m.

Ruth McGhee finished inside the top five of the women's 200m with a time of 26.07 seconds. The finishing mark gave the sprinter the second-best mark all-time for the SU women.

Both Shenandoah 4x400m relay teams scored for the Hornets. First, the men's team of Wyatt Newcome, Kyle Corpin, Sheehan, and Bernard finished at 3:29.43 for fifth, while the women's team of Maddy Chorney, Emily Bultema, Oleksy and Semow completed their relay in 4:25.52 for sixth.

The University of Lynchburg won the championship on the men's side and Washington and Lee University took it on the women's side.
