SAVANNAH, GA - Shenandoah Women's Golf concluded its spring-opening event at the Port City Classic with a 10th-place team finish on Tuesday. The Hornets improved seven strokes on day two with a score of 346 (+62) and an overall score of 699 (+131).
Cierra Bigelow was the second-largest riser in the field from round 1 to round 2 as she jumped 27 spots to finish 23rd overall. She shot 76 (+5) on the day and 165 (+23) for the event.
Erica Laurentino comes in behind Bigelow, shooting 89 (+18) in round 2 and 172 (+30) total, giving her a 34th-place overall finish.
Gaby Frick matched Laurentino's round 2 score of 89 (+18), and finished 59th overall with a 2-round score of 180 (+38).
Sophia Hansen was the final scorer for the Hornets in round 2, as she shot 92 (+21). She finished 62nd overall with a total score of 182 (+40).
Amanda Dasher rounded out the team, shooting 99 (+28) today, finishing 78th overall with a score of 195 (+53).
Carley Westmoreland and
Alexa Strohman, competing as independents, also held strong through round 2. Westmoreland almost matched her round 1 performance, scoring 90 (+19) today, giving her a two-day total of 178 (+36) and a 51st-place finish overall. Strohman shot 98 (+27) today and finished 69th overall with a 187 (+45).
