Women's Golf Sits in 11th at Port City Classic

SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Shenandoah University women's golf team began its spring season with the first round of the Port City Classic on Monday. The Hornets are currently 11th with a 353 (+69) at the Savannah Country Club.

Erica Laurentino is 23rd in the 91-golfer field with an 83 (+12), highlighted with a birdie on hole 14. Cierra Bigelow carded three birdies on Monday for an 89 (+18), putting her tied for 50th. Tied with Bigelow is Alexa Strohman, as she had one birdie and seven pars while playing as an individual.

A few spots of Bigelow and Strohman is Carley Westmoreland, playing as an individual, who is currently 46th with an 88 (+17). Westmoreland hit birdies on hole four and 16.

Sophia Hansen sits 53rd, scoring a 90 (+19) after ending her round with four consecutive pars. Gaby Frick closes out the team scoring with a 91 (+20), which puts her 59th in the field. Amanda Dasher scored a 96 (+25).
