Men's Golf Places 14th at Sam Snead

The Shenandoah University men's golf team concluded the Sam Snead Intercollegiate in 14th out of 21 teams with a three-round score of 902 (+50). The Hornets scored a 297 (+13) on Tuesday, their best round this week at the par-71, 6,878-yard Golden Horseshoe Golf Course.

Braden Hermansky finished with the best score of the team, placing 21st with a score of 221 (+8). The first-year improved nine spots on Tuesday, carding a 72 (+1) for round three, highlighted by three birdies.

Dan Ailor finished 45th, scoring a 73 (+2). On the front nine on Tuesday, Ailor recorded a 34 (-2), helped out by an eagle on hole two and three birdies. Overall, throughout the three rounds, the senior scored a 225 (+12).

Conor McCarthy and Caden Sherman each shot 76 (+5) on Tuesday. McCarthy finished 55th with his three-round total of 227 (+14), sinking a birdie on Tuesday along with 10 pars. Sherman finished 66th at 229 (+16) following a 14-par performance during the final round.

Price Whitaker made consecutive birdies on holes five and six, helping him score an 82 (+11) on Tuesday. The senior concluded the tournament in 101st with a score of 240 (+27).
