AMHERST, VA. — Shenandoah Men's Golf opened the ODAC Championship with a 6th place finish after the opening round on Sunday. As a team, the Hornets shot a 318 (+30) at the 3,545-yard, par 72 Poplar Grove Golf Club.
INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
All five Hornets in the rotation finished one stroke apart. First Year
Braden Hermansky led the hive with a 78 (+6) on day one, highlighted by three birdies in the back nine- a team round high. Hermansky sits 13th overall in the 50-man field.
Caden Sherman came in next with a 79 (+7), hitting par on half of his holes on the day, placing him 15th individually.
Conor McCarthy currently sits 23rd overall with his 80 (+8) for round one.
Connor Christie, coming off his B-Team tournament win at Catholic, opened his second appearance in the ODAC Championship with an 81 (+9), placing him 28th in the field. He would be the final of the four to score in round one for the Hornets
Dan Ailor brought up the rear in round one, as he shot an 82 (+10) on the day.
