Shenandoah University has announced the hiring of Jazmyne Smith as the team's newest full-time assistant coach for Softball, the first under Head Coach Olivia Scarbrough.
Smith enters her second year as a collegiate assistant coach, most recently serving as the Assistant Softball Coach at Wilmington College for the 2025–2026 season, where she helped guide a roster of over 20 student-athletes and helped lead the program to its first-ever Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Tournament appearance.
During her tenure at Wilmington, Smith oversaw multiple facets of the program, including day-to-day operations, game-day scouting, and social media graphic design. She also served as a dynamic recruiter, successfully bringing in 12 newcomers to the program. On the field, her individual and small-group instruction helped elevate four student-athletes to All-Conference honors.
Prior to her coaching career, Smith gained extensive administrative experience working directly under the Athletic Director at Bridgewater College, where she completed over 100 internship hours in athletic administration and event management. Smith holds a Bachelor's degree in Health and Physical Education with a minor in Coaching from Bridgewater College, where as a student-athlete she was a three-time All-ODAC softball selection, and has earned her Master's degree in Sports Management with a concentration in Sports Administration from Liberty University.
