WINCHESTER, Va. - Last year's ODAC Championship runner-ups, the Shenandoah University field hockey team, released its 2026 schedule, as published by head coach Ashley Smeltzer-Kraft.

The Hornets, coming off three straight trips to the ODAC Championship game, host 10 games at Aikens Stadium this fall. Their ODAC season is highlighted by trips to Washington and Lee University and the University of Lynchburg, which bookend the conference slate.

The season starts with a meeting at home against Thomas College at home on September 1, which marks the first-ever meeting between the programs. Denison then comes to Winchester to battle the Hornets, after SU defeated the Big Red last season in overtime.

Home games versus the University of Mary Washington and Dickinson College are in the middle of road games at Hood College and Franklin and Marshall College.

On September 26, the Hornets host an anniversary game for the 2016 ODAC Champions, when they take on Sewanee. This marks the 10th anniversary of SU field hockey's first ODAC Championship win. September closes out with a home game against Catholic University, which ends non-conference play.

After the ODAC opening game at the Generals, Shenandoah hosts Eastern Mennonite University, Batten University, Roanoke College, and Sweet Briar College for four consecutive home ODAC games.

The regular season concludes with three straight conference road games at Bridgewater College, Randolph-Macon College, and the previously mentioned Lynchburg game.
