McCloskey Rushes His Way to ODAC Offensive Player of the Week

FOREST, Va. - In the first edition of the 2026 ODAC Player of the Week selections, the Shenandoah University football team had running back Aidan McCloskey earn ODAC Offensive Player of the Week on Sunday afternoon.

McCloskey and the Hornets opened their 2026 season with a 30-3 win at Methodist University on Friday night. During the week one win, the Hornets' starting running back ran for 138 yards and one touchdown on 11 touches.

The 138 rushing yards broke his previous career best of 108 yards, which was set last season against Averett.

As a team, the Hornets rushed for 252 yards in the season-opening win.

McCloskey and the Hornets are at home this Saturday for a 7 p.m. kickoff against Geneva College (Pa.).
